Using TasteTrace

TasteTrace is a personal cooking notebook for recipes, cooking attempts, photos, voice reflections, comparisons and locally generated recipe cards. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. No account is needed.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights in content you create. You are responsible for having permission to use photos, recordings and other material you add or share. Use the app lawfully, respect other people's privacy, and do not use its webpages or services to harm others or interfere with their operation. TasteTrace does not take ownership of your notebook content.

Cooking safety

TasteTrace records your observations; it is not professional food-safety, medical or dietary advice. Verify cooking temperatures, ingredient safety and allergens independently. Use recording and photography only when it is safe to do so around heat, knives and kitchen equipment.

Local storage and sharing

Your notebook stays on your iPhone unless you export or share it. TasteTrace does not provide cloud synchronization or recovery. Keep copies of important recipe cards. Deleting a recipe, erasing local data or uninstalling the app may permanently remove its local records and media. Copies you send to other apps or people remain outside TasteTrace's control.

Permissions and online pages

Camera and microphone access are optional and used for the features you choose. Privacy, terms and support pages require an internet connection and are displayed in an in-app web container. Website availability and third-party apps used for sharing are outside the offline notebook's operation. Our Privacy Policy explains related data handling.

Availability and limitations

We aim to provide a usable notebook, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every recipe, recording or export will meet a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not responsible for independent decisions you make about cooking, food safety or sharing your content, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes and ending use

Features and these terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in this page and its update date. You can stop using the app at any time and delete local data in Privacy & Storage. Contact us if you need help before removing the app.
